AMD RDNA2 architecture is soon to reach new devices. The architecture that made a debut with Radeon RX 6800 series and next-gen Xbox Series and PS5 gaming consoles back in November, has just received a new update with Navi22 based Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card.

During the announcement, Scott Herkleman (CVP & GM AMD Radeon) confirmed that RDNA2 architecture will soon arrive to gaming laptops. One of the slides shows a new laptop that looks a lot like MSI Bravo. This notebook has been labeled as RX 6000 series laptop.

The rollout of Radeon RX 5000 M-based laptops is undoubtedly a letdown to many. Only a few laptops have ever been released with first-gen RDNA GPUs. The RX 5500M and RX5600M laptops are hardly available with choice usually being limited to MSI and Dell laptops. The top-end RDNA1 mobile GPU, Radeon RX 5700M, is even harder to find. In fact, it was only available with a Dell Alienware Area-51m R2 laptop. So if you had a chance to buy one, consider yourself special, because your notebook already is.

AMD has lost an opportunity to launch its Zen3-based Ryzen 5000H series alongside Radeon RX 6000M series. Instead, AMD made a gamble and launched its new CPUs with NVIDIA’s RTX 30 Laptop GPUs series, months ahead of Intel Tiger Lake-H. So, does this mean Radeon RX 6000M series will debut with Intel 11th Gen Core series? Well, that would certainly be an interesting development in the usually boring and predictable mobile market.

As usual, AMD is keeping details on its mobile GPUs under a closed lid. So far only TGP specs have been leaked thanks to Patrick Schur. The announcement of the Radeon RX 6000 mobile series arriving soon is a great opportunity to see what we already know about the new mobile series. We compiled two charts, one showing all known power targets of NVIDIA and AMD mobile GPUs, and the other with possible specs. Do note that both charts are purely speculative are only based on leaks and educated guesses.

AMD might launch more SKUs than in the last generation. Details on Navi 24 are still very scarce, but it quite clear it will launch as an entry-level part such as RX 6300M.

According to some leaks, Navi 22 mobile will launch with 192-bit and 160-bit interfaces. This implies that a high-end SKU will get 12GB while the other could feature 10GB memory capacity. It would make sense to launch these parts as RX 6800M and RX 6700M. Navi 22 offers up to 40 Compute Units, thus the top part should offer 2560 SPs, while the cut-down chip might feature 2304, right in between full Navi 22 and 23.

Navi 23 parts should both be 128-bit, likely to offer 8GB and 4GB memory. These parts should offer up to 2048 Stream Processors (full-fat Navi 23). When it comes to the full series, anything such as TGP targets, the exact core counts, and clock speeds are hard to attach to product names right now. Yet, since we have not done a specs prediction in a while, we gave it a try, and this is what we came up with:
