AMD launches Radeon RX 6750 GRE cards with two different specs

Confusing SKU for confused gamers.

It seems that all the rumors about the Radeon RX 6750 GRE (Golden Rabbit Edition) were indeed accurate, including those with conflicting specifications. This recently launched graphics card in China is a special version based on the Navi 22 architecture, targeting the sub-$300 market. The reason for the rumors being correct is rather straightforward: AMD decided to introduce two distinct cards under the same name, leading to considerable confusion.

The Radeon RX 6750 GRE is offered in both 12GB and 10GB memory configurations, each with differing Stream Processor counts. The first variant, known as the RX 6750 GRE 12GB, features the Navi 22XT GPU with 2560 Stream Processors. It operates at clock speeds of 2439/2581 MHz, slightly lower than the RX 6750 XT (2495/2600). This model is equipped with a 192-bit memory bus and 12GB of memory running at 16 Gbps, resulting in a bandwidth of 384 GB/s. Its TBP (Total Board Power) is set at 230W, which is 20W less than the 6750XT and matches the TBP of the 6700 XT.

On the other hand, the RX 6750 GRE 10GB features the Navi 22 GPU with 2304 Stream Processors and 10 GB of memory using a 160-bit configuration, also running at 16 Gbps. Consequently, it has a slightly lower bandwidth of 320 GB/s. This variant has clock speeds of 2189/2450 MHz.

Both of these SKUs present significantly different specifications, which makes it rather disappointing that AMD decided to use identical names for them. The core count, clock speeds, power consumption, and memory configurations are all distinct, leaving no apparent reason for the name duplication.

It’s worth noting that the reviews currently available are from Chinese media, and various custom models are being introduced by manufacturers like XFX, PowerColor, Sapphire, and others. There doesn’t seem to be a reference design planned for these cards, so the models featured in promotional materials are purely for marketing purposes.

AMD is providing prices for both the US and Chinese market, the 12GB model is said to cost $289 while 10GB could launch at $269. It is expected that both SKUs will launch on the Chinese DIY market and through OEM/system integrators elsewhere, just like the RX 7900 GRE did. The card officially launches tomorrow.
