Custom NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080?

A photo of the upcoming Ampere graphics card has been posted on Reddit. The graphics card appears to have 11 memory modules (likely GDDR6X) around the GPU. It is also worth noticing how closely the memory is put together. This is possibly why some leakers referred to the design as compact and complex.

The reason the GPU area sticks out on the back is simple. the leaker deliberately put Intel CPU to cover the area (original picture here). The leaker did say that there is an external chip on the back, but it was not revealed what was its purpose.

The NVLink finger appears to have a different design from Turing:

This model is most likely a custom design with much bigger heatsink extending over the card. This graphics card appears to be equipped with three 8-pin power connectors. The original leaker claimed it could be Colorful Vulcan graphics card, however, we are unable to confirm this.

It currently remains unclear if the graphics card pictured below represents RTX 3090 or RTX 3080 SKU. The leaker claims that the manufacturer told him it is in fact RTX 3080. Yet, it is hard to imagine that 3080 would feature this much of the memory.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series are set to be announced on September 1st during a special event hosted by the company CEO Jensen Huang.

The leaker released another photograph showing more details:
