NVIDIA was planning RTX 4070 Ti FE card after all

New photos of the latest RTX 40 desktop card to launch have emerged on Twitter. This RTX 4070 Ti model, formerly known as RTX 4080 12GB has never been released in reference design, at least not when cooling solution is considered. The Founders Edition of this AD104 based model never hit the shelves, but there is enough evidence to suggest that there were such plans earlier.
In fact, the photographs shared by @KittyYukko appear to confirm exactly this. The AD104 based model had some type of reference cooler with two fans. It looks similar to what was shared as RTX 4070 FE a few weeks ago. However, as far as rumors are concerned, it appears that NVIDIA has no plans to launch either models as Founders Edition at this point.
The PCB design looks similar to what can find on some semi-custom RTX 4070 Ti cards already, such as Inno3D’s or PNY’s. However, those models do not have such a perfect C-shape cut as the card above.

The RTX 4070 Ti has been released in January and the likelihood of NVIDIA releasing a Founders Edition is now very low. Therefore, those pictures only confirm that at some point the company considered such an option, but has (thankfully to AIBs) decided to stick to partner design only.
