Alleged European pricing of Intel 12th Gen Core “Alder Lake-S” series leaks out

Intel 12th Gen Core series pricing, Core i9-12900K for 653 up to 736 EUR

Leaker @momomo_us managed to find the upcoming mainstream desktop Alder Lake-S processors from Intel at first retailers in Europe.

A list of pricing posted by momomo_us features three retailers with pricing varying between them. It is not stated where those retailers are located though, thus it might be better to compare values without VAT.

According to the leak, the flagship Alder Lake-S CPU called Core i9-12900K which is to features 8 Performance and 8 Efficient cores is to cost between 540 to 608 EUR without VAT and 653 up to 736 EUR with VAT. Overall, we are looking at an average price of 710 EUR with VAT. The KF variant with integrated GPU disabled will cost 30 EUR less according to this leak. Both SKUs are more expensive than Core i9-11900K (Rocket Lake) CPU which retails at the same retailers at 627 EUR.

A 12-core CPU called Core i7-12700K is now listed at 507 EUR on average with VAT with the KF model being 31 EUR cheaper. Meanwhile, the 10-core Core i5-12600K would cost 476 or 357 EUR depending on the enablement of integrated graphics.

Since early pricing leaks are not new, we can actually take a look back at the 11th Gen Core launch. Similar pre-launch pricing leaks were put together by @harukaze5719 back in January this year, just 2 months prior to the official introduction of Rocket Lake-S CPUs. We are more or less in the same period before the Alder Lake-S launch.

Intel is now set to launch its 12th Gen Core series by the end of this year. The company will have a special event on October 27th, where the series could be formally announced.

Intel Alder Lake-S series is to support DDR4 as well as DDR5 memory technology along with PCIe Gen5 standard. New motherboards based on 600 series chipset and equipped with LGA1700 socket will be required to use those CPUs.
