AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D & RTX 3090 tested in 5 games
Another day, another leak featuring a Ryzen 7000X3D CPU.
There might be no sign of the 12-core Ryzen 9 7900X3D benchmarks yet, while the flagship 7950X3D SKU is getting all the attention from leakers right now.
Hardware leaker “chi11eddog” who shared many MSI leaks in the past, claims to have benchmarks featuring the Ryzen 9 7950X3D CPU in 5 games. It looks like the processor is being compared to Ryzen 9 7950X (without 3D V-Cache) as well as Intel’s Core i9-13900K CPU in titles such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 5, Shadow of the Tomb Raider or Metro Exodus. Those are 1080p benchmarks with high quality image settings.

Assuming that those numbers are comparable, this would indicate that 7950X3D is on average 18% faster than 7950X and 12% faster than Core i9-13900K in these tests.
Unfortunately, unlike in other leaks, such as the 1st party benchmarks from AMD, no platform specs were confirmed at this time. This means that motherboard models, BIOS versions or memory specs are unknown. This obviously means that the data should be taken with a grain of salt. However, as of now, those are in fact the very first benchmarks featuring GeForce RTX 3090 graphics and Ryzen 7000X3D CPU.

The leaker also shared a Cinebench R23 score and CPU-Z/Ryzen Master screenshot confirming that someone is indeed in possession of the 7950X3D processor and MSI X670E Tomahawk motherboard. The CPU scored 37973 points in multi-core test.
Those waiting for proper reviews will not have to wait that much longer. AMD is set to lift the embargo on Ryzen 7950X3D and 7900X3D reviews in 2 days, while the sales start in 3.
