AIDA64 AVX-512 benchmark now optimized for Ryzen 7000 series

This is a follow-up to our AIDA64 news about the software now supporting RTX 4090 graphics cards.

AIDA64 software for monitoring and benchmarking has recently been updated for next-gen NVIDIA RTX 40 series but also a number of new graphics cards that have been released over the past few weeks. That update was for the Beta channel, but today FinalWire, the company behind AIDA64, announce the availability of the 6.75 release, which brings even more updates.

AIDA 64 6.75 has improved support for AMD Zen4 architecture (for EPYC 7004 Genoa and Ryzen 7000 Raphael series).  As it turns out, the update brings AVX-512 and AVX-2 optimizations for AIDA64 benchmarks, confirming that AVX-512 instruction will be supported by Zen4.

AMD was somewhat reluctant to explain what the slide from May this year listing ‘Expanded Instructions: AI Acceleration’ really meant, but later the company confirmed that this means AVX-512 VNNI and AV-512 BFLOAT16 instruction specifically. Those instructions can provide a substantial boost in applications such as video upscaling.

AIDA64 update arrives 2 months before AMD Ryzen 7000 release, now rumored for September.
