Acer to launch custom Arc A770 GPU

Intel OEM partner confirms it is launching a custom Arc A770 graphics card as part of the Predator series.

The card showcased by Acer today is a 2.5 slot design with two fans. This model appears to be a hybrid between a blower-type and open-air fan design, something that we have not yet seen before.

Acer’s A770 GPU is a custom design equipped with dual 8-pin power connectors, so it should deliver better performance than Intel’s Limited Edition aka ‘Intel Founders Edition’.

The A770 is the flagship model, featuring a full ACM-G10 GPU with 32 Xe-Cores. What remains to be confirmed is whether this particular model is equipped with 16GB or 8GB VRAM. Intel confirmed that 8GB models will be released by board partners only, but we should see 16GB variants as well.

Acer now joins, ASRock, Gunnir and MSI who are the first official board partners for Arc GPU launch.
