Acer launches its first Radeon GPU

The BiFrost family is expanding, the company has released three new cards today.

According to the report, Acer is set to introduce three new graphics cards, one powered by Intel and two by AMD. Up until now, the Predator BiFrost series had only included the Arc A770 with 16GB VRAM, which has gained popularity among consumers. This particular Arc GPU is currently considered one of the top Intel options in the market, especially since Intel canceled its Limited Edition. Acer has now confirmed the launch of the A750 BiFrost model, which means that both ACM-G10 cards will come equipped with the same cooler.

In January, initial speculations regarding Acer’s potential inclination towards Radeon GPUs began to circulate. As it turns out, those rumors were indeed accurate, and Acer officially announced their collaboration on Radeon 7900 graphics cards during Computex. Sadly, none had been released until now, as Acer had been exclusively offering Intel GPUs. However, this is about to change, as they are preparing to release the BiFrost Predator OC and non-OC models this month. Unfortunately, the first Acer Radeon will be based on the RX 7600 SKU, indicating that it won’t be a high-end model.

The BiFrost series showcases a unique hybrid cooler design that combines blower-style and axial-style fans. The overall design closely resembles that of the Arc series, with the only notable difference being the power input, which now uses one 8-pin connector instead of two. The cooler’s size remains the same for both the Arc and Radeon series, suggesting that it will likely perform even better for the RX 7600, considering its lower TDP ranging from 170-180W, depending on the specific model.

Assuming that new pictures show the A750/RX7600 models, the cheaper BiFrost models will also lack ARGB lighting around the fans, but this is certainly not a big issue given we are looking at $200-$300 cards. And speaking of the price, A750 will cost 7990 TWD (258 USD), RX 7600 OC will retail at 8490 TWD (274 USD) and the OC variant will cost 8999 TWD (290 USD).
