Today NVIDIA launches its first Turing-based graphics card with 15.5 Gbps memory onboard.
NVIDIA announces GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER for 699 USD
The GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER will utilize full TU104 GPU with 3072 CUDA cores. This model is equipped with 8GB GDDR6 memory across a 256-bit interface. What is new is the bandwidth, because unlike existing Turing cards, this SKU features 15.5 Gbps memory. This alone bumps the maximum theoretical bandwidth to 496 GB/s.
With SUPER series NVIDIA is also going away from ‘special’ Founders Edition pricing. The RTX 2080S will cost the same as RTX 2080 non-S and non-Founders-Edition at launch: 699 USD.
