XFX Radeon RX Vega

Finally, a custom Vega from AMD-only board partner. The Radeon RX Vega with two massive fans and carbon fiber-style shroud has been showcased for the first time by XFX.

What immediately caught my attention is the placement of power connectors, they are in the middle… between the fans. I’m not sure if this is a good idea, but we will see. This model has 8+6-pin connectors, so we are likely looking at RX Vega 56. Power connectors are where PCB ends, so in other words, the PCB is rather short.

The custom XFX RX Vega comes with a full cover backplate, which looks more like a reinforcement for this massive design. The XFX logo is LED illuminated and there’s no DVI port on this card.

The red fan and carbon fiber design may not fit into everyone’s taste, but XFX is known for providing various iterations of their designs, so I’m guessing it may launch with a different color design later.
