AMD Polaris 20 confirmed

We got our hands on the launch driver for Radeon RX 500 series and we have some news for you.

AMD Polaris 20 XTX & XL

It was just a rumor, but as it turns out, it’s true. Radeon RX 580 and RX 570 are using new codenames for their GPUs. The RX Radeon 580 will feature Polaris 20 XTX and Radeon RX 570 will be equipped with Polaris 20 XL.

What’s interesting is a lack of Radeon RX 560 on this list, while RX 550 is already here. This entry-level GPU will get Polaris 12 processor codename Lexa Pro, which sounds awfully similar to Lexapro, an antidepressant drug…

And no, there is no Vega in this driver.
