Mobile Pascal may arrive at Gamescom in Europe. According to DigiTimes, NVIDIA would allow its notebook partners to unveil mobile Pascal between August 17th to 21st, so just when Gamescom is hosted is hosted in Germany

ASUS, MSI and Gigabyte would showcase their new notebooks, some of them equipped with mobile GeForce GTX 1080, GTX 1070 and GTX 1060 graphics solutions.

So far everything suggest that NVIDIA will no longer use the M post-fix for mobile chips, as those offer similar specs or performance to desktop variants. The specs of GTX 1080 Mobile are still quite a mystery, but we are aware of GTX 1070/1060 specs that are just slightly different than desktop variants. Interestingly, GTX 1070(M) is supposedly equipped with more CUDA cores than desktop variant, yet the clocks are slightly lower, so theoretically they should offer similar experience.

It probably shouldn’t take long for AMD to reveal it’s mobile Polaris cards now.
