XFX and Sapphire Radeon RX 470/460 pictured up close

We have new photos of the upcoming Radeon RX 470 graphics cards from Sapphire and XFX.

Sapphire Radeon RX 470 Silver

We have already posted pictures of those Sapphire cards, but the new set is definitely showing the first review samples, rather than cards from production line. There’s not much to talk about, except that we noticed that PCB has 2 phases removed, as opposed to this slide from AMD.

Sapphire RX 470 Platinum (or Silver), will feature 2048 unified processors, 4GB GDDR5 memory and slightly modified/painted Ellesmere reference design. It also features a Nitro-styled backplate.

Sapphire Radeon RX 460 Dual

We only had one picture of the Dual RX 460 so far, so here’s a closer look at this card. Judging from the packaging, the availability of this product may be limited to Asian market. Well, at least we already know that Sapphire is preparing NITRO RX 460 variant.

What caught my attention was the first closeup picture of the Baffin (Polaris 11). This card is so power efficient that it does not need any additional power connectors.

What you, the customer, should be looking for when this card hits the market are comparisons between RX 460 and refreshed GTX 950 (with no power connectors).

XFX Radeon RX 470

Now here’s the first look at XFX RX 470 Double Dissipation. It has removable fans just as RX 480 model. It also features a backplate and modified PCB with single 6-pin power connector. The X-shaped packaging is for Chinese market only.
