GALAX has just added a new graphics card to its Hall of Fame lineup.
GALAX GTX 980 Ti HOF GOC
The new card is based on modified PCB with 14+3 phase power design, which puts it right to the top of most powerful GTX 980 Tis on the market. Only EVGA’s 980Ti Kingpin offers 14+3 design, with MSI’s 980Ti Lightning losing to both cards with 12+3+1 power design.
Although the sample sent to Expreview has 14+3 phase design, the official picture on GALAX website shows 16+3 phase design. However it is unclear which version will be offered for sale.
Speaking of powerful power design, let’s not forget about three 8pin power connectors. Theoretically such configuration could offer 525W of power, but I doubt anyone could get anywhere close to such power demand.
Card is equipped with massive dual-fan cooling solution, which thanks to much wider design accommodates two 10cm fans. The huge heat sink is accompanied by 5 heat pipes, which are hidden under brand new HOF-branded cooler shroud.
Last but not least, GALAX GTX 980 Ti HOF GOC is clocked at 1203 MHz, with boost clock at 1304 MHz. The memory however was not overclocked.
