Gigabyte GeForce GTX 950 unboxed ahead of launch

A Youtube channel called ‘Hard Drives and More’ has an interesting video of yet unreleased graphics card.

While I have absolutely no idea what is said in this video, I do know what GTX950 stands for. The GTX 950 is yet unreleased GM206 graphics card that will launch this week.

The card shown in the video is Gigabyte’s single-fan edition of GTX 950 (they also have WindForce 2X model coming). This particular model is just begging to be installed in HTPCs. It is not the best gaming hardware around, but considering it only requires 90W makes it a very interesting choice for casual gamers.

Direct competition comes from Radeon R7 370, which struggles in most benchmarks (especially synthetic) against GTX 950. The new card that will compete against GTX 950 is called R9 370X and it’s quietly being released by AMD partners as we speak.

Update: the video in question has been made private.

Also our friends from HardwareBattle posted a video with GTX 950 (thermal inspection):

Just a reminder of all GTX 950 cards that we know about.
