ASUS teasing new DirectCU3 cooler?

ASUS ROG posted a new cooling solution for its upcoming graphics card.
Unfortunately there is nothing but speculation of what could it be.

Not that long ago, a forum post on official ASUS forums revealed that company is working on DirectCU3 cooling. However, the card in question was GTX960, nothing even remotely close to 980Ti or Fiji/Fury. Would this be the new DCU3 cooler? Well it makes sense, we are moving to 3 fans anyway, but would GTX960 need three fans? I don’t think so.

I might be wrong here, but I think there’s a DVI port on the bracket, and we already know that Fiji has no DVI port. In other words, this is likely the new GTX 980 Ti, because GM200-based cards actually do have DVI on the bracket.

What is blazing fast, keeps its cool under pressure, protected by armor, and you don’t even hear it coming?
