This may come as a surprise to you, but Inno3D is preparing its most powerful cooling solution for mid-range GTX 960.
Inno3D GeForce GTX 960 OC and iChill GeForce GTX 960 Ultra
Inno3D has at least two GTX 960 cards in the making. Both designed for completely different purpose. The first one, the OC model (N960-1DDV-E5CNX) is equipped with HerculeZ 2X cooler, which is a very tiny representation of what HerculeZ cooling solusions are capable of.
Speaking of more capable solutions, the iChill brand will soon welcome a new member. The iChill GTX 960 Ultra (C960-2SDN-E5CNX) equipped with Air Boss Ultra Cooler will be, without a doubt, the most powerful GTX 960 on the market (unless EVGA has plans for GTX 960 Classified…).
The card itself does look a little different than more powerful 980/970 models. We only have this tiny picture (as seen below), but it seems the card is missing the 4cm side fan (not the best looking one anyway), which should be directly connected to the VRM section of the card.
Both Inno3D cards are equipped with 2GB GDDR5 128-bit memory and both cards are factory-overclocked to 1178 MHz (+ boost). Memory runs at 7010 MHz, which directly translates into bandwidth of 112 GB/s. Each card has the same display configuration of three DisplayPorts, one DVI and one HDMI output.
