ASUS has been working on two Radeon R9 280X graphics cards, the ROG MATRIX and DirectCU II TOP.
ASUS Radeon R9 280X DirectCU II TOP (R9280X-DC2T-3GD5)
The R9 280X is quite similar to the R9 270X in terms of features. The specs are obviously slightly different, ASUS R9 280X DC2 TOP is using Tahiti core with 2048 Stream Processors. It is equipped with 3GB GDDR5 memory across a 384-bit interface.
While the R9 270X was designed for 1080p gaming resolution, the R9 280X aims at the 1600p market. Just the same as its slower brother, it has DIGI+ VRM with 10-phase Supper Alloy technology. The DirectCU II cooler, which looks exactly the same as GTX 780’s, features Cooltech fan technology. Of course even this time ASUS did not forget about its 20% cooler 3X quieter line.
In terms of specifications we have 970/1070 MHz core clock and 6400 MHz memory clock. Card is equipped with DVI-I, DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort.
