Shortly after posting the final specifications of the GeForce GTX 780, Fudzilla also shared more details about the other product — GeForce GTX 770, coming shortly after the GTX 780.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 Specifications
The GeForce GTX 770 is a GeForce GTX 680 rebrand, with a new codename for the GPU and higher clockrate. The card is packed with GK104-425 GPU, which has 1536 CUDA cores. The GTX 770 is clocked at 1046 MHz, with a boost clock at 1085 MHz. Interestingly it also supports GPU Boost 2.0. Card will be offered in 2GB and 4GB variants. The rumors about the 7GHz memory were true. It has 6+8pin power connectors and a TDP rated at 230W. Just like GTX 780 it has two DVIs, HDMI and DisplayPort.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 Performance
On the performance side, we have a new competitor to Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition, which outperformed GTX 680 few months ago, due to better drivers. Now, NVIDIA has done some tweaking to GTX 770 so the race at this price point will start again. Speaking of the price, the card would cost between €400 and €500 ($450), but this not confirmed yet.
GeForce GTX 770 will be 10 to 20% faster than Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition. Obviously the performance gap will shrink in Gaming Evolved titles: Tomb Rider, Crysis 3 and Max Payne 3. So it’s safe to assume both cards will offer a very similar performance.
