NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Coming in Late Summer
Here’s another leak, straight from Sweden. According to SweClockers a mid-range graphics card GeForce GTX 660 will arrive in the summer.

SweClockers were informed by one of the retailers that they should expect new GeForce GTX 660 card somewhere in summer. Card would be available for 2500 Swedish kronors, which is around $350 (that’s including high VAT). Earlier leaks said that it will cost between $299 and $329.

As for the GTX 660, the latest rumors suggest it will be based on Kepler GK106 GPU, which will hold 4 SMX clusters with 768 CUDA cores. Card will likely be equipped with 2GB of GDDR5 memory. There’s a lot of discussion whether it will have 192- or 256-bit memory interface, but it seems that it will eventually be powered by wider bus.

Previous mid-range GeForce 500 series included the following:

  • GTX 560 SE 192-bit – launch price $150
  • GTX 560 256-bit – launch price $199
  • GTX 560 Ti (384) 256-bit – launch price $249
  • GTX 560 Ti (448) 256-bit – launch price $289

So, according to SweClockers GTX 660 should be expected between late July and August, for a price of $299. If true, then this card should receive Ti branding, or NVIDIA made another shifting in naming. It is also possible that NVIDIA will launch multiple products on the same day, which would differ in CUDA cores count or memory bus width.
