3DCenter.org posted full specifications of GeForce GTX 670 cards. Cards will likely be featuring 7 SMX clusters to provide 1344 CUDA cores in total.
According to 3DCenter.org GTX 670 and GTX 670 Ti will be based on GK104 GPU with small changes. NVIDIA may reduce a number of SMX (streaming multiprocessors) to 7. As we known each SMX holds 192 CUDA cores, therefore such reduction would provide seven clusters of 192 cores, making it 1344 in total. This would mean that GTX 670 cards may have up to 112 texture operating units. Additionally, raster operating units should stay at 32.
3DCenter.org also predicts actual base clocks of this card. Reference cards should provide at least 900MHz base clock, while memory may feature 1250MHz clock. Actual TDP of those cards shouldn’t exceed 160 Watts.
Further analysis of GeForce GTX 670 Ti specifications suggest that it may be 21.7% slower in computing performance in comparison to GTX 680. Card was designed to compete with AMD Radeon HD 7950 delivering similar performance for lower price.
GeForce GTX 670 Ti should be available for €380. Both variants of this card will be released in May.
