AMD Radeon HD 6990 to be released on March 8

AMD is preparing their first and only dual Radeon from 6900 Series. The latest news suggest that new AMDs graphics card will be released on March 8th. Radeon HD 6990, codenamed Antilles, will support 3072 stream processors, 512bit memory bus width, 4GB of GDDR5 memory, Crossfire and Eyefinity support. New card will have one DVI output and four mini DisplayPorts.

NVIDIA’s response will likely be new GeForce GTX 590, which is expected later in March.

Detailed specification like core, shaders, memory clocks, power consumption and so, is likely to be released during CeBIT.
