Gigabyte offers GeForce GTS 450 with 512MB, our thoughts are with the card | TechConnect Magazine
While HIS decided to double the on-board memory of a Radeon HD 5450, Gigabyte is going towards the other extreme by slashing half the VRAM of the GeForce GTS 450 to release a card with 512MB. True enough, the GTS 450 is not a high performance card but in this day and age, it ‘deserves’ 1GB.

According to Gigabyte, the GDDR5-light GeForce has a custom cooler with a copper core, 192 CUDA Cores, a GPU clock of 810 MHz (783 MHz stock), a shader frequency of 1620 MHz (1566 MHz), a memory clock of 3608 MHz, 2-way SLU support, and dual-DVI, plus HDMI output.

We searched for this 512MB GeForce GTS 450 and while it’s not yet shipping, it is available for pre-order for as low as €103.79. And if you’re wondering, the 1GB card with the same specs is selling for €104. (BEd: Sarcasm alert!) Now, which one should we get
