MSI decided to broaden its offer of graphics cards, a new model, based on a system GeForce GTX 280, although the GTX 280 is a very efficient system, MSI decided to get a second model of the card, but with higher clocks, speaking MSI is a model N280GTX-T2D1G postscript Super OC.

As you can imagine, this is a model factory podkręcony. The Charter is based on the GPU NVIDIA GT200, which recently had its premiere, has 1 GB of GDDR3 memory on a 512-bit memory bus is the core clock, which is a strong set at 700 MHz (standard: 602 MHz), successively strong for shader and Memory is: 1400MHz and 1150MHz (standard: 1296MHz and 1117 MHz).

It is not known exactly when the card will go to the store shelves at us, but you can find some shops in the tenders. On the ground in western Europe is no longer available, its price fluctuates within the limits of 380 euros.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX lowers prices 260 and 280

October 1st, 2008 No comments

NVIDIA decided to respond to the premiere of competing graphics cards and ATI has decided to reduce prices of its two flagship models. Thus, the GeForce GTX 260 state to 199 Euro, while the GTX 280 up to 319 euros.

Having premiered in June endow high-NVIDIA cards within two months have already firmly cheapen – at the beginning of cost 260 GTX 349, GTX 280 up and 499 Euro. The big concern here is a merit of ATI, which launched a price war by introducing Radeony 4850, 4870 and 4870 X2. Their high performance combined with low prices has led to significant reductions in the camp of “green”.

For comparison, the current king of performance, or Radeon 4870 X2 with DDR5 currently costs 400 Euro. Less demanding users who wish to have dual ATI in a lower price, they should wait for the Radeon 4870 X2 with DDR3 memory or on the HD 4850 X2. These cards will come out on the market soon and will likely be about 100 Euro cheaper than the current leader.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX lowers prices 260 and 280

October 1st, 2008 No comments

Today, NVIDIA reduces the price of its new generation of graphics cards, GeForce GTX 260 and 280 The first model is cheapen by about 30 dollars, while the faster GTX 280 will cost about $ 90 less. The reason for the reductions is lower than expected sales of new cards, as well as the surprising performance of competing Radeon 4850 and 4870, which drew on the eyes of customers. As a result of increased interest in products ATI, which is naturally not credit for NVIDIA and forced her to make the price war. At the beginning of staniały GeForce 9800 GTX card, which is now also apply to a series of reductions GTX 200

If you have not noticed a clear potanienia NVIDIA cards in shops, should not be surprising. The above reductions relate to prices, for which NVIDIA card sells its partners. The new GeForce stanieją stores to a lesser extent, and this will be a process lasting several weeks. However, the Santa Clara company did move in the right direction, increasing the competitiveness of their new cards and trying to make a more direct combat with new hits ATI

Asus GeForce GTX 280 already on sale?

October 1st, 2008 No comments

You can tell. One of the French online stores already taking orders for the new NVidia card. Although the premiere was still a little over a week, it will not prevent the French to create virtual records on GTXa. Recall that the new graphics GeForce GTX 260 and 280 will be powered chip GT200 and will appear exactly June 18 – on the day their prime minister is planned by the manufacturer. What interesting in the case of the French shop is a price. It is quite powalająca. According to the last state it was 575 or nearly 900 dollars.

Of course, such a state is heavily inflated price. Certainly shrewd merchants came to the conclusion that the presale and confusion associated with the premiere, you can earn well. Who’s to złapie? For sure there will be lovers of high prices;> After the official opening night card will surely be cheaper, but you should not expect that it will reach a price below 300 Euros a model GTX 280

NeoSeeker Initial testing and impressions of the GTX 280

July 7th, 2008 No comments

It seems like we were just getting used to NVIDIA’s ninth generation of GeForce, and now, lo and behold, another generation has arrived. This new breed brings a few new changes, and one of these changes is in nomenclature: NVIDIA’s suffixes have now become prefixes, and a zero has been dropped. The GTX 280 is the name of the new flagship video card offered by NVIDIA, and today, we’ll put it through its paces and see how it compares to nine other video cards, including the now dethroned 9800 GTX.

Before getting to this new generation, lets do a quick recapitulation of NVIDIA’s ninth generation. Don’t worry, this will be short — really short, because the 9000 series has only been around since February.

Bucking the usual methodology, NVIDIA kicked off the ninth series with a performance-class card, the 9600 GT. The 9600GT was released primarily to compete against ATI’s HD3850, which was selling for around between $140 and $180. While 9600GT had only 64 stream processors (which, by the way, have also had a name-change, and will henceforth be called processing cores) the card proved fast enough to take on the HD3850.

Guru3D GeForce GTX 280 review

July 7th, 2008 No comments

THIS IS SPARTA! Oh … hi everyone. Yeah once you get to play games with the beast we’ll be showing off today I tend to get a little melodramatic. I have this weird thing that once I really like a piece of hardware I try to find a weird euphemism for it that fits the product. The actual GeForce GTX 280 we put to the test reminded me of pure brute force. But all that brute force streamlined, well organized and efficient could very well be an euphemism for SPARTAAAANS. If you have no frickin clue what I’m talking about, then first go see the movie ’300′ and then come back and read this article, as I like to invoke that feeling into this article.

Welcome to today’s introduction of the GeForce GTX 200 release. The long awaited successors of the GeForce series 8 generation architecture is finally here, with one keyword: loads of additional transistors.

Specifically two new products are being released today: GeForce GTX 260 and 280.

HWSecrets GeForce GTX 280 Video Card Review

July 7th, 2008 No comments

GeForce GTX 280GeForce GTX 280, which is being released today, is the new high-end graphics processing unit from nVidia. In this review we are going to compare its performance with other high-end video cards we had available, namely the GeForce 9800 GX2, the GeForce 9800 GTX, the Radeon HD 3870 X2 and the Radeon HD 3870. Is this new video card really the fastest in the market today? Check it out.

We posted a separated article explaining in details the new architecture used on the GeForce GTX 200 series. So please read this article if you want to learn what is below the hood.

Let’s first take an overall look on the physical aspects of GeForce GTX 280.

HardwareZone Beyond Gaming – NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280 1GB GDDR3

A New Name for a New Generation

While NVIDIA’s GeForce 9 series further optimized the unified shader architecture that debuted with the GeForce 8800 GTX (G80), there were no significant changes in the architecture. The flagship member of the series, the GeForce 9800 GTX packed the same number of stream processors as the original G80, with the die shrink to 65nm the biggest physical change. The other was an increase in transistors due to the integration of the much enhanced VP2 video processor engine for hardware accelerated HD playback into its G92 core.

Therefore, given the short life-cycle of the average GPU, it’s about time NVIDIA came up with its next generation architecture. And the graphics industry leader has not only delivered an improved unified architecture, it has also revamped its naming scheme. Partly, this is due to the company reaching a natural limit to its four digit scheme with the GeForce 9000 series, while its products and their numerous prefixes were confusing some consumers. ATI has also recently simplified its product lineup starting with Radeon HD 3000 series so this move by NVIDIA to follow suit is not unexpected.

GeForce GTX 280 SLI (Dual and Triple SLI)
Got cash ? You could do two … even three.

GeForce GTX 280 SLI reviewSo then, you’ve read our reference review on the GeForce GTX 280 right. You like that huh; you bad boy? Now say, you just hit the jackpot, a new promotion … the girlfriend left you .. dog died and you are mentally a little unstable. You might just consider ending up with two of these cards .. well, hey look no further because you’ve arrived at the most geeky website covering for you whether it is a viable option or not.

Today ladies and gentlemen we’ll not spend 650,- USD on a graphics card .. no kind Sir, we’ll put down 1300 USD on the table and see what two of these cards can achieve performance wise. Expensive ? Yeah, Stupid ? yeah, … Guru? Yeah … kick’ass man.

We live and breathe for this stuff. And before you ask, sure, we’ll do a threesome with tree-way SLI as well.

So pretty much today we’ll place two cards together in SLI, and then do everything over again with three cards (3-way SLI). What we’ll do today is keep it clean and simple, first a little quick intro to SLI gaming and installation. Then nothing fancy or techy; we’ll dive just straight into the performance results to see if we can get a smile on our faces bigger than Pamela Anderson’s boobs (they get bigger from year to year as well, don’t they?).

Xbit Nvidia GeForce GTX 280 and 260: Gaming Performance Review

July 7th, 2008 No comments

Our study of the theoretical potential of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 200 graphics architecture showed that these new solutions are pretty promising, however, have a few issues of their own. The test session in contemporary games should cross all t’s and dot all i’s on this matter.

The GeForce GTX 200 graphics architecture had been announced a couple of days before the ATI Radeon HD 4800. As you already know from our reviews, NVIDIA’s new GPUs were developed following a different strategic concept than the competitor’s chips. While AMD’s graphics department ATI focused on simple and relatively inexpensive GPUs combining them into multi-GPU configurations when necessary, NVIDIA did everything to create the highest-performance monolithic core of the new generation. That’s what the G200 is.

There are fewer things that make the techology geek in me very happy than to see a couple of graphic heavyweights go “at it” in a serious game of ping-pong GPU – it only drives them both to excellence and prices down.

We’ve actually had these cards for awhile now, however, decided to hold off on the review in order to give the market time to adjust the pricing on it due to the Radeon-4000 series coming out and stealing much of the 280′s thunder.

Since that time, we now see these cards as low as $450 which makes them a far better P.P.R. (Performance-to-price-ratio) for the consumer.

AMD really ramped up the competition this summer into a ferver with its release of its 4000-series GPUs which have really done a lot to turn things around for them as well as the viable choices of powerful graphic cards for gamers. Its current line-up of cards are priced in such a way that even the “budget gamer” can get a card that kicks ass.
