ATI disclose the names of the new cards with R600
AMD assigned the name of the other upcoming products from the line ATI Radeon DirectX 10 The new graphics cards with DirectX 10 families have been bearing the name of the ATI Radeon HD 2000 series. In the case of a new generation of AMD has made the term “HD” to the name, to select the manner in line Avivo HD technology. AMD also deleted from their models prefix “X”.
At the top of the chain is DirectX 10 ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT. Series ATI Radeon HD 2900 is equipped with 320 stream processors, or more than two times more than the NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX. 320 processor chip combines streams from 512 bit interface memory of the eight channels.
Support for CrossFire is already implicitly supported by a series of ATI Radeon HD 2900 – for an external CrossFire dongle is already past.
Radeon HD 2900 cards based on R600 chip supports 128-bit HDR rendering. AMD also raised the requirements for anti-aliasing and
Radeon HD 2900 now supports anti-aliasing with Sampling to 24x. For comparison, NVidia GeForce 8800 series supports up to 16x anti-aliasing. Radeon HD 2900 are also equipped with processors physics.
New to the series, ATI Radeon HD 2900 are integrated into the possibility of an HDMI outputs sound 5.1. The first photos AMD OEM R600 discover that the double output dual-link DVI make audio functions are becoming useless.
Products based on the layout of AMD RV630 will bear the name of the ATI Radeon HD 2600 and a sign Pro and XT. Slightly cheaper products equipped with RV610 will be designated as the ATI Radeon HD 2400 with Pro and XT versions.
The entire family of AMD ATI Radeon HD 2000 has been equipped with Avivo HD technology. AMD Avivo improved thanks to the new ‘Universal Video Decoder’, also known as UVD, as well as a new ‘Advanced Video Processor’, or otherwise AVP.
UVD appeared for the first time available only as an OEM rdzeniach GPU RV550. UVD provides hardware acceleration for H.264 and high-resolution formats VC-1 technology used by Blu-ray and HD DVD. AVP, in turn, allows the GPU hardware acceleration and video processing functions while maintaining low power consumption.
You can expect that AMD shoot at the family market ATI Radeon HD 2000 over the next few weeks, of course, if a company that does not move again.
