The first benchmarki GeForce 9600GT in SLI
Dodger site Chiphell as few came into possession of the latest GeForce cards designed based on G94 chip. Colleagues at fachu, joined two cards in SLI mode and went testing. Recall that the GeForce 9600 chip has taktowanym at a speed of 650MHz (1625MHz for the shader), 512MB of GDDR3 memory @ 1800MHz.
Platform on which running tests based, inter alia, on an Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 strong 3GHz clock. Used as the basis for the motherboard and chipset nForce 680i SLI, and 2 GB of DDR2 memory. System which was used with Vista drivers Forceware 171.16 – beta. The test took place using the application: 3D Mark’03,’05,’06 – max resolution of 1280×1024 px.
In 3D Mark’03 (1024×768) pojdynczy 9600GT has 33 325 points. The dual structure (SLI) already 55 440 points. If you raise rodzielczości to 1280×1024 results fell to a level of 26 138 points and 44 946 The newer version of 3D Mark’05 for the same resolution showed 17 167 / 18 805 points (1024×768) and 16 141 / 18 427 points (1280×1024). The last test was done on the basis of 3D Mark’06 @ 1280×1024 and here the results are even more remarkable: 10 036 and 13 080 points.
The results are not bad, although the SLI mode slightly lag. However, keep in mind that the official premiere of’9600 ‘remaining two weeks, and in the meantime have a great deal may change. Especially in terms of drivers, which as we all know, are of great importance for the efficiency.
