NVIDIA GeForce GTX 270, 290 i GX2 in November

In the next month NVIDIA will release new graphics cards. What is worth mentioning, we mean a completely new structures, and not refreshed systems already available on the market.

In pricing, one of the partners NVIDIA, PNY company, appeared accidentally three new positions. Thanks to the human error we know that NVIDIA intends to issue new cards with GeForce GTX – models 270, 290 and GX2 (code name “China Syndrome”). All three new products are based on the chipset GT206, which until now has been known as GT200b. That arrangement can be summarized as a much-requested feature modernized version GT200, based on the technology of 55 nm. While at the same clock frequency of the new chipset will not be rather faster than GT200, lower technological process will not help company from Santa Clara. GT206 is, above all, lower costs of production, which is the achievement of a significant reduction in size of the system – from 576 to 406 mm ^ 2

The new chipset will allow us to replace the card GeForce GTX 260 and 280, much more cost-effective models GTX 270 and 280 The new model in the series, GX2, can be summarized as two chipsets GT206 combined in an SLI configuration and placed on one disc PCBs, as was the case in the GeForce 9800 GX2.

For now, the prices of new video cards remain secret.
