AA performance is just OK actually. At Computerbase, it ties a stock 7950 and loses by 5% with 8AA. At Xbitlabs and Tom’s Hardware, it can barely beat a 7870 by 5% and compared to a mildly overclocked 925 mhz 7950, it’s a blowout:

If you go to skyrim with mods and 8AA, 660Ti falls far behind a stock 7950:

Also this small write-up at Anandtech is almost a buyer-beware caveat:

“The best case scenario is always going to be that the entire 192bit bus is in use by interleaving a memory operation across all 3 controllers, giving the card 144GB/sec of memory bandwidth (192bit * 6GHz / 8). But that can only be done at up to 1.5GB of memory; the final 512MB of memory is attached to a single memory controller. This invokes the worst case scenario, where only 1 64-bit memory controller is in use and thereby reducing memory bandwidth to a much more modest 48GB/sec. ”

^That can’t bode well for a card intended to carry its buyer through for 1-2 years of gaming. Looks like the card carries 2GB’s of memory, but will only “perform” with 1.5GB’s.

HD 7950 925 as you know consumes more power and many review don´t include it.
GTX660TI vs 7950 better in some games and worse than others, people need to choose best option.
One thing that i see is newer games trend to take advantage of latest hardware, and where GTX660 TI falls behind GTX580, will not happen in future.

I remember some leaks about 660 Ti that says that in 3GB versions only 2GB can get used, but right know don´t know where is the source…
As i say before i would prefer 1152 CUDA Cores, 6SMX and 256-bit, 32Rops, but that ain´t gonna happend for now, maybe later, like 560TI 448.

Do you guys get the Borderlands 2 bundle in Europe? It’s a sweet game. Sweetens the deal for the 660Ti. You can use FXAA in place of MSAA if the game starts using more than 1.5GB of VRAM. You should go for the 660Ti since you want good BF3 performance, great stock performance and low power consumption. I wouldn’t spend $ on the 3GB version since at that point, might as well spend a bit more for the 670.
