HIS Launches Radeon HD 7970 X2

PowerColor is not the only company preparing Radeon HD 7970 with two GPUs. Also HIS has prepared a triple-slot card based on such configuration.
Launching of Radeon HD 7970 X2 cards may indicate that AMD has not prepared their Radeon HD 7990 yet, or even company is not readying such card at all.
HIS construction is quite similar to PowerColor’s Devil 13 card. It has custom-designed IceQ X^2 cooling solution, with a large dual-fan setup. HIS 7970X2 has a massive heatsink, which is connected by four copper plated heatpipes. As mentioned earlier, it’s a triple-slot design. If you are planning to buy this model, then make sure to prepare three 8-pin power connectors, since this card will consume at least 500 Watts.
Card will support up to five displays, through four mini-DisplayPorts and one DVI output.
