Galaxy Single Slot Galaxy GTX 670 Pictured new card geforce gtx 670
Galaxy product manager has posted on his microblog a new picture of upcoming single-slot Galaxy GTX 600 Series graphics card.

The first thing that you’ve probably noticed is it’s length, as this cooler requires more heat dissipating surface. Galaxy’s product manager did not confirm if this is actual GTX 670 card, but if you focus on power connectors, then you will find similarities to reference GTX 670 board – those connectors are situated almost in the middle of the card.

There was a similar single-slot cooler pictured few weeks ago, but it was longer, covering whole radiating section and power connectors were not pixelated. So Galaxy might be preparing a whole new single-slot series of GeForce GTX 600 cards.

As for detailed specfication, they were not revealed yet.

    What we missed in the earlier pics was the PCB length. As you can note from the previous shot which was revealed a month ago, the PCB ends the spot where they have tied the thread. 

    It would be pretty awesome if they can make a Single slot 680 with its components on a much shorter PCB but all those indications point to the 670. Also the front heatspreader, note that its covering the VRM area as spotted from the PCB picture of 670. 

    But a single slot 680 was also in works, i asked Galaxy through mail and they confirmed a water cooled and single slot version of the 680 are under development.

     Thanks for heads up. Did they confirm if this is actually GTX 670? The silver cooler is probably from GTX 680 card, I doubt that they had GTX 670 card right then.

    They have a single slot water cooled version of the 680, the cut down PCB however confirms that this is the 670.

    No further word on this particular card? Waiting to see the overall length listed somewhere, I’m hoping to fit it into Lanbox SFF build and have a max length of 10.5″ (26.67cm). Be a beautiful thing if this card would fit, new vid card AND more airflow in one slot…errr, shot!
