HIS (Hightech Information System) today introduced yet another Radeon card equipped with an custom, icy cooler, the Radeon HD 6870 IceQ 1GB. This is a stock-clocked model that’s claimed to run 24 degrees cooler and be 10 dB quieter than reference models.

The temperature and audio advantages are enabled by the dual-slot IceQ cooler which packs one fan and four copper heatpipes. Beside the IceQ fansink, HIS’ card features 1120 Stream Processors, a GPU clock of 900 MHz, a 256-bit memory interface, 1GB of GDDR5 VRAM @ 4200 MHz, CrossFireX support, and dual-DVI, HDMI and dual mini DisplayPort outputs.

The Radeon HD 6870 IceQ 1GB is already on sale in Canada @ $219.99 (217 USD).
