New Zotac GeForce GTX 580 has 16+2 phase power

After probably months of experimenting in its labs, NVIDIA-exclusive add-in-board maker Zotac has revealed its highest-end single-GPU card yet, the GeForce GTX 580 Extreme Edition which features a specially-designed PCB (with lots of upgrades) and a powerful, custom cooler.
The new uber-580 is 254mm tall (bring ye no standards here) and has a 16+2 phase power design providing up to 500W of power for extreme overclocking sessions, high-grade components (solid state capacitors, FP SuperML decoupling capacitors), two 8-pin PCIe power connectors, an aluminum plate that covers the memory, MOS and PWM chips, and a 3-slot cooler boasting a copper base, six 6mm copper heatpipes and two ‘Titan’ fans.
Zotac’s card also comes with 512 CUDA Cores, a 850 MHz GPU clock (772 MHz stock), a 384-bit memory interface, 1.5GB of GDDR5 VRAM @ 4400 MHz (4008 MHz), 2-way SLI support, and four display outputs – two DVI, one HDMI and one DisplayPort. No word on pricing yet.
