XFX Radeon HD 4650 1GB Review @ Hardwareheaven
XFX supply their 4650 in a box which gives a reasonable amount of information on the card specifications, though we do lack any detail on the cards core and memory speed. Inside the box is a selection of manuals and discs, much the same as the 4870. The same cannot be said of the bundled components which on this model consist of a DVI to VGA convertor and an S-video cable, very basic indeed.
XFX have again gone with a custom black PCB with the 4650 and with the black single slot cooler and red DVIs all of these mix together to create a good looking card. In terms of noise there are no issues with the fan XFX have chosen and it is very quiet in comparison to reference models. Underneath the cooler we have a 55nm, 600MHz RV730 core which has 320 unified shaders and 8 ROPs. Connected to the core by a 128bit memory bus is 1 GB of 500MHz DDR2, 512mb more than most 4650s.
Although this is a more value orientated model all of the standard Radeon features are present such as DirectX 10.1, AvivoHD and PCI-Express 2.0.
