Radeony X2400 and X2600 version PCIe2

It appeared interesting information about the weaker medium-sized and ATI. And interestingly, all card-based systems 610 and 630, that is, X2400 and X2600 will PCIe2 cards.
Where is the snag? For sure we need the motherboard, which supports PCIe2, unlike such is not easy now. But for the x38 boards, as well as the upcoming RD780/790, the situation must be quickly changed. However, this does not change the fact that these cards are with us since May.

Presented tests of prototype motherboards PCIe2 showed a marked increase in results in tests of highly chargeable bandwidth. Especially when vertex tests in 3DMark06. Others did not show noticeable differences, but generally speaking, in the case of these two families of systems, should come from that performance, it is possible that even the order of 10 percent.

Interestingly, the transition from 2.5Gbps per channel in the case of PCIe, up to 5 Gbps in the case PCIe2 gives a change in the total from 40 to 80 Gbps. Therefore we get higher bandwidth to memory than is the case in the mid-line X2400. In practice, this means that the OEMowe devoid of any memory card and sold for 39 U.S. dollars become potentially just as fast if not faster than a bone density challenges, a lot more expensive counterparts.

In the face of low-cost cards PCIe2, as well as motherboards PCIe2 ready to flood the market, which is not surprising that ATI PayPal helmet on orders OEMowych. We’ll see what will happen at the end of the fourth quarter of this year and the beginning of the first in the future.
