The new reference board PCB for nVidia GeForce GTS 240

NVIDIA_logo1In the coming weeks, another issue nVidia graphics card based on G92 system – it will chip codenamed GTS 240, so that in fact there is only a renamed 8800 GT and an 9800 GT. To quell some statement that is another odgrzany “chop” (because, unfortunately, so is) the company has designed a new revision of the laminate PCB called P361.

The new reference board PCB, like its predecessor, has been equipped with eight GDDR3 memory chips with integrated GPU with 256-bit bus. The most important feature that differs from a new revision of the old will certainly have the power section – now 3 + 1 phase.

In addition, there will be no possibility to merge a three graphics cards in 3 way SLI mode – this is one of the connectors, which will “only” on setup 2 – way SLI (which is certainly enough to most users and significantly reduce production costs). The entire structure will receive power via a 6-pin power connectors.9a
