nVidia will lower the price of GeForce 260 GTX

In the light of recent events, high prices, any information about the cuts in prices is very good news. It is worth to report that according to various sources (including expreview.com) at the end of February we will see the card GeForce GTX260 cheaper by about 10 – 15 $. The reduction is caused by using the cheaper production of PCB’s.

New construction has been identified as P897 – is 1.5 cm shorter than that applied P654 and eight layers (P654 was 10). What’s more, cutting costs will affect the power supply section (from now on will be 4 Phase 1), bone BIOS (in the new version will have a capacity of 512KB, not 1MB). We wont see the metal frame around the GPU, a DVI slot will be cheaper. Does not significantly reduce the quality? Will it affect overclocking? We have to wait to find out!
