nVidia sells a 128-bit GeForce 8400GS in China
Despite that, in Europe and the United States can get only 8400GS chip with 64-bit memory controller and this also appears in the official specifications, the company sold in China are 128-bit versions.
Card with a 128-bit 8400GS are very similar to the 8500GT and probably in fact contain the bones 8500GT with reduced timing, which have not passed the test qualifying them to be mounted on the full 8500GT cards. NVIDIA reportedly decided to get rid of in this way on treated storage chips. At its low price, 8400 GS offers quite a decent performance.
I wonder whether a similar card, you’ll see in other parts of the globe.
